No Act of Love is Ever Wasted
November 2-3, 2024
Saturday, November 2:
We will spend the day learning about the unique experiences and needs of individuals with dementia and their loved ones. The day will begin with an overview of dementia as we become more aware of general behaviors and effective ways of being with individuals with dementia. The day will continue with a focus on the caregiver’s needs. We will seek to have a better understanding and more empathetic presence for those who are providing care to individuals with dementia. Finally, the day will wrap up with a look at what the Church can do to walk alongside and support those with dementia and their loved ones.
Sunday, November 3:
We will continue to build on the information received from Saturday as we talk about caring for the caregiver in the morning. Following this time, all are invited to join Newnan Presbyterian Church at 10 am for a dementia-friendly worship service led by our weekend speaker, Robin Dill. An informal Q&A time will follow the service.
God's grace empowers us to welcome, love, and serve in the name of Jesus Christ.
We celebrate our faith with vibrant, traditional worship on Sundays. We celebrate communion monthly and the table is open. All are welcome to commune with us. Childcare is available for Bible Studies and worship services.
