POST PUBLISH DATE:
Dear NPC Congregation,
I hope each of you had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend time with family and friends. With the new year upon us, I want to say thank you for sharing your many gifts in support of Newnan Presbyterian Church in 2024. Once again, your generosity is allowing us to continue our mission to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ both within our church and throughout the broader communities we serve. I am grateful for our wonderful congregation! We are
estimating monetary giving to come in at $588,000 which is in line with the annual budget and spending. Thank you for your monetary gifts as well as your time and talents throughout 2024!
As we plan for 2025, the finance ministry is proposing an operating budget goal for pledged and unpledged giving of $625,000, a 6% increase over 2024. This increase is the result of continued higher operating costs in several categories such as employee cost of living to offset inflation, utilities, property insurance, repairs and maintenance, and increased funding for ministries. One area of growth and thus a need for additional funding is our new Care Groups
where participation continues to rise, and feedback remains quite positive. Our leadership would also like to see giving to outreach continue to grow.
Commitment Sunday will be on January 26. As is our custom, you will be invited to come forward to offer your financial pledge during the worship service.
Please submit your pledge online with Realm by clicking the button above. If you would prefer to mail or email your pledge to the church office, please address it to Karen Geeter, financial secretary npcfinance@newnanpres.org). The finance ministry and Session will work to finalize the budget by the end of February in preparation of a congregational meeting in early March. At this meeting, we will review 2024 financial results, and 2025 final budget based on pledges received.
The theme of our stewardship campaign is
“Giving with Purpose” based on
Ecclesiastes 3:1 - To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. It is my hope that during this stewardship season you will prayerfully consider how Newnan Presbyterian Church makes a difference in your lives and those around us.
Sincerely,
Winn Wise
Stewardship Chair
